Turmeric & Saffron Tandoori Paste - Medium
This combination of turmeric and saffron coupled with other spices is well known in Ayurveda and is typically called “kesari masala”, kesari meaning the colour yellow. This paste is great with lamb, beef, pork, vegetables or tofu.

Inspiration from an Indian kitchen Pumpkin and Carrot Pakora
1. Grate 250g pumpkin and 250g carrot.

Add 50g Turmeric & Saffron Tandoori Paste, 150g chickpea flour and salt.

Gently mix to form a light dough, make small patties.

Fry in a little oil or cook under the grill in the oven.

Serve with Tamarind & Date Chutney as a snack or on a bed of rice with raita and Tomato Kasundi.
To spice up, add extra ginger, garlic and chilli at Step 2.
A delicate saffron and turmeric flavour.
Use this to make burgers, meatballs and vegie burgers, grilled sweet potato and roast potato.
You can marinate a whole butterfly chicken and roast in oven (1tbsp/500gms).
Add chilli to spice up or 1tbsp yoghurt to cool down.Serving per packet: 9
